Who We Are:Nothing About Us 1

  • People with developmental disabilities and our allies.

  • People helping people to find their voice.

  • Members of 21 local groups in Vermont.

  • People who work together.

  • People who share what is going on in our lives. If you have problems, we listen and don’t judge so you can get ideas about what you can do. Lots of times people have the same problem and the group can work together to solve the problem.

  • People who take charge. Self-advocacy is about the person taking charge. You don’t have self- advocacy if the person is not in charge.

  • People who advocate to keep institutions and sheltered workshops closed.

  • People who go to conferences and learn to be better leaders and listeners.
