Green Mountain Self-Advocates

30th Anniversary Gala

October 29, 2024 at 5pm to 9pm

Capitol Plaza Hotel ~ Montpelier

Join us for dancing, delicious food, connecting with friends and family, and a theater performance. Proceeds will support our advocacy work and programs for the coming year. Your support will allow us to continue working to empower people with developmental disabilities across Vermont.

The theater performance, called "The Honey Let’s Go Home Circus," is created and directed by 16-year-old Ira Karp, who has Down Syndrome. Ira lives in Greensboro and grew up with the Bread and Puppet Theater. He uses the language of Bread and Puppet to construct a brightly colored and whimsical puppet circus. Ira’s unique sense of humor and love for performing make this a circus you don’t want to miss!
