Vermont Leadership Series

Group of Young People at a Leadership Conference

“The Leadership Series is powerful because it allows people to share their experiences without stigma.”

This training is for self-advocates and families. It is taught over 3 weekends. Hear the stories of people with disabilities:

  • what works and what does not work
  • what a different future could look like
  • and what we can do about it

Leadership Series teaches the skills to be an effective advocate and leader. Learn how to speak up to legislators. Work with an action team to create a project. This training is based on the core values of the Disability Rights Movement:

  • Equal Rights
  • Self-Determination
  • and Full Community Inclusion

It is hosted by GMSA, the VT DD Council and Vermont Family Network. If you want to go, you must fill out an application. Contact the GMSA office for more details.
