Know Your Rights When Talking to ICE
Everyone in the United States has rights. This is true no matter your immigration status.
You have the right to stay silent. You do not have to answer questions about where you were born or your immigration status.
You have the right to ask for a lawyer before answering questions. Do not sign anything until you talk to a lawyer.
ICE cannot enter your home without a warrant signed by a judge. You do not have to open the door.
Stay calm and do not run. Do not lie or give false papers.
Knowing your rights can help you stay safe and make good choices.
